I got a Nabaztag/tag this weekend. It rocks. It’s a ‘Wireless Rabbit‘ - (pause) WTF? I know… I asked too the first time but you can text it and it’ll talk to me…

It’s a cute little LSD LED driven light show, rotating ‘ears’ mp3 streamer, text to voice processor, RSS reader, RDIF reader, API driven bit of madness the likes of which I just had to get.
There’s one main thing that totally sold it to me. The opportunity to have on-line applications ‘talk’ to me on my desktop through an API!
A few many hours later and I’ve got a rabbit that lights up, dances and sings to my tune! (Sort of)

My Nabaztag will be sent your message through SMS2Email.com and will read it out to me.
It costs your standard network rate and should work around the globe. The keyword NAB is a freebie on an AQL (SMS2Email) account I’ve had for years.
It took about 10 minutes to cobble the lot together, it’s a ‘trackback’ keyword (in a non-SEO / non-bloggy kinda way), HTTP’d through to my site, a HTTP request out to the Nabaztag API and a few seconds later I get flashing lights, dancing ears and a text to speech readout of what you sent!
If I’m near Nabaztag I will know you’re reading this page. He’ll have rotated his ears and flashed green to tell me you’ve been by my site! But please text my rabbit a mad message anyway!
