Feature request and bug tracking tool
Wednesday, March 19th, 2008I’ve just installed Arctic Issue Tracker so I can manage projects, bug reports and feature requests better.
If there’s a bug you want to point out in the WordPress plugin or a feature you’d like me to write in please report it in the Dev Tracker, same applies with anything I publish here.
Submit feature requests and bugs here
I’ll add a few more updates to it as time goes on so you can see what’s cooking behind the posts.
Pay Offline new payments system from Alliance and Leicester
Wednesday, February 27th, 2008This is interesting, not a mobile thing again but it’s left me wondering how much work would be involved in making this a mobile friendly service:
If the customer has to print a bar-code they then take to the shop it sounds perfect to be hacked (in a nice way) to support sending the bar-code to the mobile! It gets rid of the need to waste more trees by printing stuff out.
It’s a thought anyway and nice to see the off-line payments folk changing their business model to a more open and attractive one for merchants of all sizes. Years ago I looked at accepting PayZone or similar for the ringtone sites, they wanted money up front, fees each month and offered worse out-payments than the networks.
Now for merchants there’s limited free signup and out payments that spank SMS. I’d like this for the ringtones and for the hosting, it’d be sweet to accept cash over the counter at thousands of retail outlets.
Chargeback free payments up to £999, the possibility of making it work on a mobile too!
This sounds pretty cool if you ask me.
WordPress Mobile Plugin - Google Adsense for Mobile
Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008I get about ten emails a week asking for me to enable Google Adsense for Mobile on my WordPress Mobile Plugin.
I hear you.
Google Adsense for Mobile will be enabled on version 1.3!
You’ll be able to earn revenue from Google from any clicks you generate on the mobile web version of your blog!
There’s now well over three thousand sites using the plugin and I wonder how many more will install once Adsense for Mobile is enabled. I’ve got figures showing me AdMob performs better but people keep asking so I should get off my butt and deliver it soon.
Thanks to everyone who’s email with comments or suggestions on the plugin, I’ve saved them all and am working my way through them listening to what people have to say.
PayPal Mobile Checkout - Australia
Friday, November 23rd, 2007Good news for PayPal Mobile Checkout merchants, Australia is live!
My post over on dev.mobi suggested Australia would be coming soon as the documentation cited Australian Dollars as a supported currency.
One or two of my Google Alerts told me about this a couple of days ago but it’s still below the radar so I thought I’d add to it with a quick post.
